ORDINANCE NO. ~'S~ <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADAPTING THE ALTAN <br />BAKER PARR MASTER PLAN AS A REFINEMENT OF THE <br />EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD METROPOLITAN AREA GENERAL <br />PLAN« <br />The City Counc i 1 of City of Eugene finds that <br />A. In April, 1972 the Lane County Board of Commissioners <br />established the Alton Baker Park Advisory Committee, which in- <br />cluded representatives from Eugene, Springfield, Lane County, EWEB <br />and other members the Board deemed appropriate. One of the Com-- <br />mittee's responsibilities was .to "Guide the preparation of a <br />General Park Master Plan for the consideration and approval of the <br />Board , " <br />B. On June 18, 1986 the Lane County Board of Commissioners <br />adopted the Alton Baker Park Master Plan, including the revisions <br />thereto recommended by the Lane County Planning Commission, <br />attached as Exhibit "B" to Ordinance PA No, 914. <br />C. 0n June 18, 1986 the Joint Parks Committee concluded that <br />the Alton Baker Park Master Plan as adopted by the Lane County <br />Baard of Commissioners is consistent with the Eugene-Springfield <br />Metropolitan Area Plan, in compliance with Land Conservation & <br />Development Commission Statewide Land Use Planning Goals 5, 8, and <br />l5, and recommended its adoption by the Eugene City Council as a <br />refinement of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General <br />Plan. <br />NAW,'THEREFARE <br />THE CITY AF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FALLAWS: <br />Section 1. The above findings, the findings and recommen- <br />dations set forth in the Alton Baker Park Master Plan, and the <br />findings of compliance with Statewide Land Use Planning Goals 5, 8 <br />and 15 set forth in the Appendix to the Alton Baker Park Master <br />Plan are hereby adopted. <br />Section 2. The Alton Baker Park Master Plan as adopted by <br />the Lane County Board of Commmissioners by Ordinance No. PA 914 on <br />June 18, 1986 is hereby approved as being in compliance with the <br />Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan and Statewide <br />Land Use Planning Goals 5, 8 and 15, and is adapted as a refine- <br />ment plan to the Eugene~Springf field Metropolitan Area General <br />Plan. <br />Section 3. The City Recorder is requested to attach a copy <br />of the Alton Baker Park Master Plan which incorporates the revi-~ <br />sions set forth in Exhibit "B" to Ordinance No. PA 914 of the Lane <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
