ORDINANCE N0. 19406 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT <br />PROGRAM; AMENDING SECTION 6.410 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Subsections ~c} and ~1} of Section 5.410 of the Eu ene Code <br />g , <br />1911, are amended to read and provide; <br />6.410 General Dischar a Prohibitions. No user shall dischar a an <br />ollutant in a uantit ~ g y <br />p q y why ch w~ 11 ~ nterfere w~ th the operation <br />or performance of the city sewerage system, including but not limited to an <br />of the following substances: y <br />~c} Any wastewater having a pH less than 5.5 or neater than <br />.~ 1Z,0 or havin an g <br />g y other corrosive property capable of causing <br />damage or hazard to structures, equipment, and/or personnel of the <br />city sewerage system. However, if the pH of the wastewater at the <br />treatment plant influent is greater than 8.0, the city manager <br />shall temporarily modify the limitations herein, notify the affect- <br />ed user or users of the modifications and require com liance there- <br />with until the Condit' p <br />ion is corrected. <br />~1} Any wastewater containing hydrocarbon oil and rease in <br />excess of 100 milli rams ~ g <br />. g per liter of solut~vn, or total oil and <br />grease ~n excess of 300 milligrams per liter of solution, as deter- <br />mined by freon extraction per standard methods. <br />Section Z.
