ORDINANCE N0. AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVING CHESHIRE AVENUE FROM MADISON STREET TO JEFFERSON STREET; AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 19228, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: On February 13, 1984, there was passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor, Ordinance No. 1.9228, levying an estimated assessment against the properties listed on the Assessment Roll attached thereto for paving Cheshire Avenue from Madison Street to Jefferson Street. Final costs of the pra~ect have been calculated, and pursuant to the provisisons of Section 7.240 of the Eugene Cade, 197'1, the assessment ra11 attached to Ordinance No. 19228 should be amended to reflect the reduced assessments for the assessment accounts. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7.240 of the Eugene Code, 1971, Ordinance No. 1.9228 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor an February 13, 1984, is hereby amended by correcting the Assessment Ralf attached hereto to reflect the reduced assessments for the remal.ning accounts listed thereon. Section 2. The finance officer is directed to make the above corrections to the docket of city liens and to send a corrected notice of assessment to the property owners set forth in Section l above. Section 3. Except as herein specifically amended, all other provisions of Ordinance No. 19228 and the assessments provided for therein remain in full farce and effect. Section 4. It is necessary that the above corrections be made as soon as possible, and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be effectl.ve immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
