Councilor Kelly said while he appreciated the process that CAFHN undertook, he thought the goal of <br />compact urban development superceded the desires of the neighborhood. He was concerned that the change <br />that came with growth would become a great deal of “sprawl.” He thought the Chambers Area project felt <br />like a half project and would be a small step toward the breakdown of land use planning. <br /> <br />Councilor Papé echoed the comments of Councilor Poling. <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy remarked that she would support the ordinance in the unlikely event there would be a tie. She <br />commended CAFHN and staff for the work they had done. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll call vote; the motion passed, 5:1; Councilor Kelly voting in opposition. <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy wished everyone happy holidays.
