Senate <br />Bill 71 directs OOOT to adopt rules specifyin the process to apply for loans and grants for <br />projects. It is expected that applications will 0 en in late November and close in mid-January. <br />Interested parties should watch the OOOT w b site and add their names to the OOOT e-mail list <br />of updates and notification: htt :/Iwww.ore 0 . ov/OOOT/COMM/CO/index.shtml. Tell us at <br />connectoreaon@odot.state.or.us that you wo Id like to be on our e-Iist. <br /> <br />Will ODOT and/or the Aviation Boar perform an initial assessment on <br />project applications? <br />Yes. OOOT will initially screen all projects for completeness, reasonableness, and financial <br />viability. <br /> <br />Will ODOT assist applicants in the roject submission process? <br /> <br />OOOT will not provide assistance to applican s since OOOT is administering the project <br />selection process. Projects not satisfying the e considerations will be set aside in this round of <br />funding. <br /> <br />Should I obtain letters of support f r my project? <br /> <br />Yes. Letters of support from community and usiness supporters as well as affected local <br />governments or Area Commissions on Trans ortation <br />(http://www.oregon.gov/OOOT/COMM/otc_m in.shtml) will be helpful to the OTC as they make <br />their decisions. <br /> <br />Are design costs eligible for projec funding? <br /> <br />Yes.
