UPS has operated at the Eugene Airport
through our contract carrier program for a number of years and we are interested in
creating options for future growth and expansion of our operations.

UPS is focused on providing the Lane County region with delivery services that result in
the efficient movement of goods. We clearly understand the importance of good inter-
modal transportation systems and the need for appropriate infrastructure and facilities at
our airports.

The Eugene Airport is a great asset to us as it provides convenient access to the air
transportation system and has connectivity to our regional operation at Portland
International Airport. The airport also has great attributes with a CAT III ILS,
unobstructed approaches, an Air Traffic Control Tower, and a well lit ramp.

Improvements to the taxiways and ramp, and the construction of a distribution facility
would add significant value to the system.

Thank you for your consideration of the Airport's proposal.

z

J
1

Kevin Hoffinann
Airport Properties Manager
United Parcel Service

cc: Phil Groshong-EUG

j

']
