Within 72 hours after <br />receiving the notice the person shall remove the hazard. <br />X20} Section 11,102 through 11.116 pertaining to incinerators <br />and open burning are deleted from the Uniform Fire Code. <br />X21} Section 11.201 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to add: <br />. fie} Tires may be stored an a business or residential site, <br />without a permit, only ~f the following three conditions are met: <br />1. No more than 25 tires stored in one pile are permit- <br />ted an a site; <br />2. No more than three piles of tires spaced no less <br />than 20 feet apart are permitted on a site; <br />3; No piles located closer than 20 feet from any propM <br />erty line are permitted on a site. <br />Fire safety permits for the storage of tires on a business or resi- <br />dential site not in conformity with conditions 1. and/or 2, above <br />may be issued if the following conditions exist: <br />4. Tire stacks are within a liquid-tight dike sufficient <br />to contain flammable liquids produced by burning tires and any <br />run-off from fire streams. <br />5. The effected run-off will not overflow rota a water- <br />way . <br />6. All weeds, vines or other growth are removed from <br />within 20 feet of the diked area. <br />X22} Section 11.404 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to add: <br />fie} The use of portable electric heaters and fuel -fired space <br />heaters in Group I Dccupancies is prohibited. <br />X23} Section 12.105~e} of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br />read: <br />fie} Access to Exits, When more than one exit is required, <br />they shall be so arranged that it is possible to go in either <br />d~rect~on from any point in a corridor to a separate exit, except <br />for dead ends permitted by this section. <br />Dead ends. Corridors with dead ends are permitted when <br />the dead end does not exceed 20 feet in length. <br />EXCEPTION, Group B, Division 2, office occupancies <br />may have 30 foot dead-end corridors in the tenant <br />spaces. <br />X24} Section 25.111 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to read: <br />Section 25.111 - Standb Firewatch. Whenever, in the opinion of <br />the chief, ar his/her designee, it is essential for public safety in any <br />public assembly or any other place where people congregate, due to the number <br />of persons, or the nature of the performance, exhibition, display, contest or <br />activity, the owner, agent or lessee shall employ one or more qualified per- <br />sons as required and approved by the chief, or his/her designee to be on duty <br />at such place, Such individuals shall monitor the occupant load and means of <br />egress in conformance with the requirements of Section 25.114~c} of this <br />article and shall not be required or permitted, while on duty, to perform <br />any other duties than those herein specified, <br />X25} Section 17.106~b} of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br />read: <br />fib} The storage of explosives and blasting agents in quanti- <br />t~es exceeding 100 pounds is prohibited within the city, except <br />Ordinance - 11 <br />
