ORDINANCE N0. ~ ~ AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD METROPOLITAN AREA GENERAL PLAN. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: 1. The Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan Metro Plan} was adapted by the Eugene City Council on July 28, 1980, and amendments thereto have been subsequently adoptd by Ordinance. 2. On August 18, 1987, the Planning Commissions of the Cities of Eugene and Springfield and Lane County held a public hearing on a request by Harry N. Ruth to change the Metro P1 an Diagram designation of Tax Lots 1111 and 1201, Assessor's Map 17-04-35-0 0 located an the northeast carnet of West 11th Avenue and Bailey Hill Road from Light-Medium Industrial designa- tion to Commercial designation. 3~ The Lane Cvunty.Planning Commission and Eugene Planning Commission at their respective meetings on September 1, 1987 and September 14, 1957 voted,to deny,the requested Metro P1 an Diagram change, and the Springfield Planning Comm~ss~on, because of a tie vote, voted unanimously to approve the request at its September 2, 1987 meeting. 4. On October 14, 1957 the Eugene City Council and Springfield City Council held a joint public hearing on the requested Metro Plan Diagram change. 5. Findings in support of adoption of this amendment to the Metro P1 an Diagram are set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference. 6. Based an the above record and findings, the City Council concludes that the Metro P1 an amendment set forth below is consistent with the Land Conservation and Development Commission statewide land use planning oafs, 9 with the unamended portion of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area Gen- eral P1 an, and with other applicable City plans and policies . NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The findings set forth above, and the findings contained in Exhibit "A" attached hereto are adopted, and incorporated by reference. Section 2. The Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General P1 an Dia- gram is amended to redesignate Tax Lots 1111 and 1201, Assessor's Map 11-03- 18-13 from Light-Medium Industrial to Commercial designation.
