ORDINANCE N0, 19527 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE BOXING COMMISSION; AMENDING <br />SECTTDN 2.013 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; REPEALING SEC- <br />TIONS 2.060 AND 2.065 OF THAT CODE; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that; <br />Amendments to DRS 463.010 to 463.990 enacted by the 1987 Oregon Legisla- <br />tive Assembly create an Oregon State Boxing and wrestling Commission with <br />exclusive jurisdiction to regulate al 1 professional boxing and wrestl i n <br />g <br />matches and exhibitions within the state. The City's Boxing Commission is <br />therefore in conflict with state law. The Boxing Commission should be dis- <br />solved and provisions relating thereto in the Eugene Code, 1911 re soled. <br />p <br />Now, therefore, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are adopted herein, <br />the table of boards, commissions and committees set forth in Subsection 1 <br />~~ <br />of Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by deletin "Boxin <br />g g <br />Commission" therefrom, and Sections 2.060 and 2.065 of that Code are re soled. <br />p <br />Section 2.
