7 R~-17 ORDINANCE N0. C AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATIDN AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of oRS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 through 9,G84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibi 1 ity, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property .within the City of Eugene;, Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; Now, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its awn the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of Qctober 12, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 12, 1982, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FDLL0~15: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.218 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance sched u 1 e of district changes are hereby amended to ref 1 ect the f o 1 l owi ng change of zone : Tax Lots 303,.1200, and portions of 101, 103, 340, 1203-- Asses sor' s Map 17-03-16 as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", located generally north of Be1tl i ne Road between Coburg Road and I-5. Change of zone from M-lISR Limited Industrial District with Site Review procedures to I-1 Special Industri a1 District. Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building in the appropriate classification. oRDINANCE--Page l of 2
