Z 82-21 ORDINANCE N0. ~ O 5 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING TNE~ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 221.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authorit and responsibilit sub'ect to the limit t' y .y~ ~ a ions contained therein, to change the zoning class~f~cat~on of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Comr~i ssion, the materi a1 s trans- m uteri therewith, and the ev7dence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- form ance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the ch an a in zone• and the ublic need can best be ' P served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of October 12, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 12 1982 or the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971 the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereb amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owi n ch an e of z n y 9 9 o e. Tax Lots 200, 203, and a portion of 3200--Assessor's Map 17-44-34-0 O, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", located generally north of Stewart Road, east of Bertelsen Road; Change of zone from M-2 Light Tndustri al District to I-1 Speci a1 Tndustri al District. Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ardinance schedule of district ch an es attached to Cha ter 9 of the 9 . p Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of c1 ass~f nation of area and to note thereon the rule with res ect to bui 1 di n i n p g the appropriate classification.
