7 R~-~~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.215 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations cant ained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the m ateria1s tr ans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Counci 1, the request for zone change c1 ass if i cati on i s i n con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of October 12, 1952, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 12, 1952, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.27$ of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zon ~ ng map an the zon ~ ng ord 1 Hance sched u 1 e of d ~ str ~ ct changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owi ng change of zone <br />Tax Lot lOOZ--Assessor's Map 11-04-33, as more particularly described on <br />the attached Exhibit "A", located generally north of the Amazon Channel <br />between Terry Street and Daneba Road; <br />Change of zone from M-11SR Limited Industrial District with Site Review <br />procedures to I-1 Speci a1 Industrial District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of <br />classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building in <br />the appropriate classification. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
