Z 82-22 <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS, THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning c1ass~ficat~on of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therew~ th, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there i s a pub 1 i c need for the change i n zone; <br />and the pub 1 i c need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Caunci] hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings cant ai ned i n the P 1 ann i ng Department staff notes <br />of Octaber 12, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 12, 1982, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, As provided by Section 9.218 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordnance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owi ng change of zone ; <br />Tax Lots 902 and a portion of Tax Lot 900--Assessor's Map 17-04-33, <br />as mare particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", generally <br />located north of the Amazon Channel between Terry Street and Danebo <br />Road ; <br />Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to I-1 Special Industri a1 <br />D~str~ct. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9~ of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of <br />class~f7cation of area and to note thereon the rule with respect tv building in <br />the appropriate classification. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
