AZ 82-6 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~C~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning class~f~catlon of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the mater i a1 s tr ans- <br />mi tted therew~ th, and the ev ~dence presented before the P1 ann i ng Commission and <br />this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance <br />with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of December 21, 1982 and January 18, 1983 and Planning Commission minutes of <br />December 21, 1982 and January 18, 1983 for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CTTY OF EUGENE DOES ORDATN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Sections 8.625 and 9,275 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, t e zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereb <br />amended to reflect the foil ~ y <br />owing change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lot 100--Assessor's Map 17-04-13-21 as more part i cu 1 arl y <br />described on the attached Exh~b~t A, located north of Division <br />Avenue and east of River Road. <br />Change of zone from County RA Suburban Residential District to <br />City Rl Low-Density Residential District and application of City <br />Residential Sign District. <br />Section 2. The zoning designations provided far herein shall <br />become effective upon entry of a Final Order of the Lane County Boundary <br />Comr~i ss i on annexing territory described i n Exhibit "A" attached hereto . <br />Section 3. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause t e zoning map, the sign district map, the schedule of sign district <br />classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the <br />ORDINANCE-~-Pagel of 2 PL FORM NO.
