<br />Z 82-25 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br /> <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classific.ation of property within the City of Eugene; <br /> <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />,mitted therewith, and the evidence presented befo,re the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change -classification is in con- <br />fonna'nce with the General Plan; there is a -public need for the change in zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of December 21, 1982~ and J.anuary 18, 1983, and the Planning Commission minutes <br />of Decemb'er 21, 19'82, and January 18, 1983, for the reasons set forth therei n, <br />and <br /> <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedul,e of district changes are hereby <br />amended- to reflect the following change of zone: <br /> <br />Tax Lots 1900 and 220Q--Assessor's Map 17-04-36-21 as more particularly <br />described on the attached Exhibit A, located on the northeast corner of <br />Garfield Street and West 6th Avenue. <br /> <br />Change of Zone from 1-2 Light Medium Industrial District to C-2 Commercial <br />District. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing <br /> <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
