~n ~~_~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, <br />OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of DRS 227.215 and Sections 8.813 through <br />8.845 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the authority and <br />responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Council, the request for sign district change of classification is in <br />conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section <br />8.830 of the Eugene Code, 1911. <br />NDW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the, foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own <br />the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff <br />notes of March 15, 1983, and the Planning Commission minutes of March 15, 1983, <br />for the reasons set forth herein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 8.625 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />sign district map and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of sign district: <br />Tax Lots 1604 and 1700--Assessor`s Map 17«03-29-3 0; Tax Lots 500, 801, <br />809, 810, 811, 81Z, 813, 514, 815, 817, 818, 2600, 2700, 2900, 2901, 2902, <br />3000, 3OD1, 3100, 3101, 3102, 3103, 3200, 3201--Assessor's Map 17-03-30-1 <br />O; Tax Lots 600, 801, 8O3--Assessor's Map 17-03-3D-2 0; and Tax Lots 2100 <br />and 2101--Assessor's Map 17-03-19-3 O; portion of Tax Lot 800-wAssessor's <br />Map 17-03-30-1 0, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit <br />A, located generally along Country Club Road and Willagillespie Road from <br />Club Road to Valley River Drive: <br />Change in Sign District from Residential Sign District to Professional <br />Office Sign District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district classification <br />changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Cade, 1911, to show the foregoing <br />change of classification of area and to Hate thereon the rule with respect to <br />building in the appropriate class~f~catian. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
