AZ 83-2 ORDINANCE N0. ~C~~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP DF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of DRS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9,278, and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Counci 1 has the authority and response b ~ 1 ~ ty, subs ect to the 1 i mi tati ons contained therein, to change the zone ng cl assi f~ cats on of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Pi anning Commi ssian, the materials trans- m~ tted there~r~ th, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Counci ~ , the request for zone change classification i s in conformance with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFGRE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific of f1 rmati ve findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes of March 15, 1983, and Planning Commission minutes of March 15, 1983 , for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY DF EUGENE DD ES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS Section 1. As provided by Sections 8, 625 and 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, t e zone ng map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedul e of district changes and the sign code schedule of district char es are hereb amended to re 1 ~ •g y f ect the fal 1 owe ng change of zone and s~ gn d~ strict: Tax Lots 203, 300, 3n1, 302, 400, 500, 600, 800, 900, and 1000--Assessor's Map 17-U4-13-~1 0, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibi t A, located on the west side of the Wi 1 l amette River south of Bel tl i ne Road Change of zone from .County RA Suburban Residential District to City PL Public Land District. Section 2. The zoning designations provided for herein shall become effective upon entry of a Fi nal Order of the Lane County Boundar y Comma ssi on annexe ng territory described i n Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Section 3 . The Planning Director i s hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map, the sign district map, the schedule of sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zonin ordinance schedul e of di stric g t changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1911, to show the ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
