AZ 53-2 <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 221,215 and Sections 8.513, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through 9.654 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning cl assi f~cat~on of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Pi anning Commission, the materials trans- <br />m~ tted therew~ th, and the eve dente presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this City Counci 1, the request for zone change classification i s i n conformance <br />with the General Plan; there i s a publ is need for the change in zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing , the City Counci 1 hereby adapts as its awn <br />the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff <br />notes of March 15, 1983, and Planning Commission minutes of March 15, 19$3, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; <br />Section 1. As provided by Sections 8.625 and 9.278 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, t e zone ng map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedul e <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the fol 1 owl ng change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lot 3001--Assessor's Map 17-04-13~-0 0, as more particularly described <br />on the attached Exhibit A, 1 orated on the west side of the Wil 1 amette <br />River, south of Bel tl i ne Road <br />Change of zone from County C-~3 Commercial District to City of Eugene I-~2 <br />Light Medium Industrial District and application of City Industrial Sign <br />District. <br />Section 2. The zoning designations provided for herein shat] <br />become effective upon entry of a Final Order of the Lane County Boundary <br />Commission annexing territory described i n Exhibit "A" attached hereto . <br />Section 3 . The Planning Director i s hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause t e zoning rnap, the sign district map, the schedule of sign district <br />classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedul e <br />of di strict changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to shoe the <br />ORDINANCE-Page 1 of 2 <br />
