ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING JUR2SDICTION OVER CERTAIN <br />COUNTY ROADS NOW LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORA- <br />TION OF THE STATE OF OREGON. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, a political <br />subdivision of the State of Oregon, has at the request of the City <br />of Eugene held a hearing an January 6, ~ 982 <br />on the pro- <br />position of releasing jurisdiction to the City of Eugene over certain <br />County roads lying inside the corporate limits of the City of Eugene. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon has <br />determined that it would be in the best interests of Lane County to <br />release jurisdiction to the City of Eugene, and has offered to re- <br />lease jurisdiction over the county roads to the City of Eugene under <br />the provisions of Section 373.270.~of Oregon Revised Statutes. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene deems it necessary and <br />expedient and in the best interests of the City of Eugene to acquire <br />jurisdiction over certain county roads, or parts thereof, to the <br />same extent as it has over public streets and alleys of the City, <br />the county roads being hereinafter more particularly described. <br />NOW, THEREFQRE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, the City Council of <br />the City of Eugene, a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, <br />deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the <br />City to acquire jurisdiction over the following described county <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
