~Z 83-~~ ] <br />ORDINANCE NO . ~ G ~ ~-{ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE TONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 221.215 and Sections 9.218 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the P1 anning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Counci 1, the request for zone change c1 assi f i cati on i s i n con <br />formance with the General P1 an; there is a public need for the change in zone; <br />and the pub1 i c need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings cantai ned i n the Planning Department staff notes <br />of Apri 1 5, 1983, and the P1 anning Cammi ssi on minutes of April 5, 1983, far the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the <br />zoning map an t e zoni ng ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref1 ect the following change of zone: <br />A portion of Tax Lots 301, 303, and 304--Assessor`s Map 11-04-36-2 4, <br />as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, 1 orated at the <br />northwest corner of Chambers Street and 9th Avenue: <br />Change of zone from RGISR Garden Apartment Residential District with site <br />review procedures to I-21SR Light Medium Industrial Di strict with site <br />review procedures, said site review review procedures addressing concerns <br />as set forth in Exhibit B, attached. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director i s hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
