( ` ~J .Z, <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORI~IN~ THE CITY 0~ EUGENE, ACTING <br />BY AND THROUGH THE EUGENE WATER & ELECTRIC BOARD, <br />TO ISSUE UP To $30,~QD,Q~Q AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL <br />AMOUNT OF REVENUE BANDS OR OTHER EVIDENCES OF IN- <br />DEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY, PAYABLE SOLELY FROM NET <br />REVENUES OR ANY PORTION THEREOF OF THE ELECTRIC <br />UTILITY SYSTEM OF THE CITY, OR FROM ANY OTHER <br />MONEYS LAWFULLY AVAILABLE THEREFOR, FOR THE PURPOSE <br />OF FINANCING ENERGY CONSERVATION MEASURES AND <br />UNDERTAKINGS QN BEHALF OF CUSTOMERS OF THE SYSTEM; <br />PROVIDING THAT NO BANDS 4R OTHER EVIDENCES OF IN- <br />DEBTEDNESS SHALL BE ISSUED UNLESS THE BONNEVILLE <br />POWER ADMINISTRATOR HAS AGREED To PAY THE PRINCIPAL <br />THEREOF AND INTEREST THEREON; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLt]WS: <br />Section 1. Authorization of Electric Utility System Revenue <br />Bonds. The City of Eugene, Oregon, acting by and through the Eugene <br />Water & Electric Board, is hereby authorized to borrow money and <br />issue revenue bonds or other evidences of indebtedness payable solely <br />from the net revenues or any portion thereof of the Electric Utility <br />System of the City, or from any other moneys lawfully available <br />therefor, at one time or from time to tune in an amount not to ex- <br />ceed in the aggregate $30,~~QQ,QQO, for the purpose of financing <br />energy conservation measures and undertakings on behalf of customers <br />of the Electric Utility System; provided, however, that none of the <br />bonds or other evidences of indebtedness shah. be issued unless the <br />Bonneville Power Administrator has agreed to pay the principal there- <br />of and interest thereon by agree~ent satis~act~ry t~ the Board and <br />the City Cpuncil. . <br />Section 2.
