z 83-7 ORDINANCE N0. _)~ AN,ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING~MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 2~7 ,~15 and Sections 9,78 and 9.fifi8 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsi bit i ty, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Commission, the materials trans- . mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council , the request for zone change c1 assi f i cati on i s i n con- formance with the General P1 an; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the faregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the P1 anni ng Department staf f notes of July 19, 1983, and the P1 anni ng Commission minutes of July 19, 1983, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the f of 1 owi ng change of zone Tax Lot 101--Assessor's Map 17-04-3fi-~ 3, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A" , located at the southwest corner of 7th Place and Garfield Street: Change of zone from I-2 Light-Medium Industrial District to C-2 Community Commercial District.
