}•-~ Fw 1! 3 ~ ~ D ORDINANCE N0. ~~~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 5.813 through 8.545 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Counci 1 .has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Gommi ssi on, the materials trans- m~ tted therew~ th, and the eve Bence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council , the request for sign district change of classification i s i n conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as re uired b Section q y 8.830 of the Eugene Code, 1971. NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the P1 anni ng Department staff notes of July 19 , 1983 , and the Planning Commission minutes of July 19, 1983 , for the reasons set forth herein, and THE CITY DF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 8.625 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the s~ gn d~ str~ ct map and the s~ gn code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fol l awi ng change of sign ,district: A portion of Tax Lot 5004-Assessor's Map 17-03-Z9--2 4, as more party cul arty descry bed on the attached Exhibit "A" , located east of Fairway Loop, between Eastwood and Southwood Lanes. Change i n sign district from Residential District to Professional Office District, with signing of this property to be limited as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached. Section 2. The Planning Director be and i s hereby authorized and directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district classification changes. attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building i n the appropriate classification.
