ORDINAI~TCE N0. ~~!1Q3 <br />-o( <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDzNG FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE <br />SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON <br />THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF r <br />EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER N0, 797 OF THE LANE COUNTY <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON JUNE 2 <br />1983; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. ~ <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. <br />3512 <br />adapted November 9, 1983, proposed withdrawal from the Sa <br />nta Clara <br />Water District of that part of the District annexed to the ` <br />City on <br />June 2, 1983 by Final Order No. 797 of the Lane Count Local <br />Y Govern- <br />ment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described, <br />The Resolution set December 14, 1983 at 1,40 o'clock noo <br />n, <br />Pacific Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, Cit Hall ' <br />Y In Eugene, <br />Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the ' <br />with- <br />drawal, and directed that notice of the time and lace of - <br />P the hear <br />ing be published once each week for two consecutive we ' <br />eks pra.or to <br />the hearing and be posted in four public places in the Ci <br />ty for the <br />same period, <br />The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Re ister Guar <br />g d <br />and posted in four public places in the City. <br />The City desires to assume liability of the District ro or- <br />p p <br />donate to the part of the District that has been annexed <br />to the <br />City. <br />No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed terri- <br />tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of <br />the City that the territory be withdrawn. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
