ORDINANCE NO . ~, q ~b L.~ <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FpR WITHDRAWING FRAM THE <br />RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT of LANE COUNTY, OREGON, <br />THAT PART of THE DISTRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF <br />EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER No. 798 of THE LANE COUNTY <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY CQMMISSION ON JUNE 2, <br />1983; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3813 <br />adopted November 9, 1953, proposed withdrawal from the River Road <br />Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on <br />June 2, 1983 by Final order No. 79S of the Lane County Local Govern- <br />ment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. <br />The Resolution set December 14, 1983 at 12,OQ o'clock noon, <br />Pacific Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, <br />Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the with- <br />drawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hear- <br />ing be published once each week far two consecutive weeks prior to <br />the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the <br />same period. <br />The Native has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard <br />and pasted in four public places in the City. <br />The City desires to assume liability of the District propor- <br />donate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the <br />City. <br />No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed terri- <br />tort' from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City <br />that the territory be withdrawn. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY QF EUGENE DQES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Ordinance -~ 1 <br />
