ORDINANCE NO. ~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE <br />RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON, <br />THAT PART OF THE DZ5TRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY aF <br />EUGENE BY FZNA~, ORDER NO. ?99 OF THE LANE COUNTY <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON JUNE 2, <br />19$3; AND DECLAR2NG AN EMERGENCY, <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3811 <br />adopted November 9, 1983, proposed withdrawal from the River Raad <br />Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on <br />June 2, 1983 by Final Order No. 799 of the Lane County Local Govern- <br />ment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. <br />The Resolution set December 14, 1983 at 12:40 o'clock noon, <br />Pacific Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, <br />Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the with- <br />drawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hear- <br />ing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to <br />the hearing and be pasted in four public places in the City for the <br />same period. <br />The Notice has been so published in the Eugene .Register Guard <br />and posted in four public places in the City. <br />The City desires to assume liability of the District propor- <br />tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the <br />City. <br />No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed terri- <br />tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City <br />that the territory be withdrawn. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Ordinance -~ 1 <br />
