ORDINANCE N0. ~p~~~ <br />AN GRDINANCE PRpvIDzNG FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE <br />SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON, <br />THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF <br />EUGENE HY FINAL ORDER NO. 8DG OF THE LANE COUNTY <br />LQCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION 4N October 6~ <br />l9$3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3515 <br />adopted November 9, 1983, proposed withdrawal from the Santa Clara <br />Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on <br />October 6, 1983 by Final Order No. 806 of the Lane County Local Gov- <br />ernment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. <br />The Re-solution set December 14, 19$3 at 12:D0 o'clock noon, <br />Pacific Standard Time, in the Council, Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, <br />Oregon, as the time and place far hearing objections to the with- <br />drawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hear- <br />ing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to <br />the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the <br />same period. <br />The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard <br />and posted in four public places in the City. <br />The City desires to assume liability of the District prapor- <br />tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the <br />City.. <br />No party has objected to the withdrawal. of the annexed terri- <br />tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City <br />that the territory be withdrawn. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
