~~ C`~ <br />Z 83-8 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~ 'I <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONTNG MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9,668 <br />through 9,684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Counci 1 has the authority <br />and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mi tied therewith, and the evidence presented before the P1 anni ng Commission <br />and this City Counc i1, the request for zane change classification i s i n con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregvi ng, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as i ts~ own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staf f notes <br />of July 19, 1983, and the P1 anni ng Commission minutes of July 19, 1983, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9,218 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map an the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone; <br />Tax Lots 12100 and 12200-Assessor's Map 17-03-30-3 4, as mare <br />particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A" , located at the <br />northwest corner of 4th Avenue and Jefferson Street: <br />Change of zone from I-2 Light-Medium Industri a1 District to R-3 <br />Multiple-Family District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
