~~ C`~ Z 83-8 ORDINANCE N0. ~ 'I AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONTNG MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9,668 through 9,684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Counci 1 has the authority and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mi tied therewith, and the evidence presented before the P1 anni ng Commission and this City Counc i1, the request for zane change classification i s i n con- formance with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregvi ng, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as i ts~ own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staf f notes of July 19, 1983, and the P1 anni ng Commission minutes of July 19, 1983, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9,218 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map an the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone; Tax Lots 12100 and 12200-Assessor's Map 17-03-30-3 4, as mare particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A" , located at the northwest corner of 4th Avenue and Jefferson Street: Change of zone from I-2 Light-Medium Industri a1 District to R-3 Multiple-Family District. Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing.
