AZ 83-4 <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the previsions of CRS 227.215 and Sections 8.$13, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Counci 1 has the authority <br />and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imi tats ans contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based. upon the report of the P1 anni ng Commission, the maters a1 s trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the P1 anning Commission and <br />this City Counci 1, the request for zone change c1 assi fi cats on i s i n conformance <br />with the General P1 an; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as its own <br />the specific affirmative findings contas ned i n the Pi anni ng Department staff <br />notes of December 6, 1983, and January 23, 1984, and Planning Commission minutes <br />of December d, 1983, and January 23, 1984, for the reasons set forth therein, <br />and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, As provided by Sections 8.625 and 9,215 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, a zone ng map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedul e <br />of district changes •and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lot 170O~-Assessoris Map 18-03-03-1 2, as more particularly described <br />on the attached Exhibit A, located between Henderson Street and Harrison <br />Street, north and south of 21st Avenue. <br />Change of zone from County RA Suburban Residential District to City R-1 <br />Law Density Residential District and application of City .Residents al Sign <br />District. <br />Section 2.
