ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE CON- <br />DUCTED BY THE LANE COUNTY ELECTION DEPARTMENT <br />ON THE 15TH DAY OF MAY, 1984, FOR THE PURPOSE <br />OF SUBMITTING TO THE LEGAL ELECTORS OF THE <br />CITY OF EUGENE A MEASURE AUTHORIZING $190,000 <br />TAB ON OWNERSHIP OF REAL PROPERTY IN DOWNTOWN <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTR3CT; ADOPTING PALLING PLACES <br />AND PROVIDING FOR ALL ACTS NECESSARY FAR THE <br />CARRYING ON OF SAID ELECTION; AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FALLAWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council does hereby order an election to <br />be held in the City of Eugene, Oregon, concurrently with the special <br />election on Tuesday, May l5, 1954, at which election there shall be <br />submitted to the electors of the City for their approval or rejec- <br />tion, the following Measure, to-wit: <br />MEASURE SUBMITTED TO THE <br />VOTERS BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />MEASURE N0. 51 <br />Shall City of Eugene tax owners of property in Down- <br />town Development District $190,000 for 1984-85 free-- <br />parking program? <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />BE IT ENACTED BY THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, <br />OREGON: <br />Section 1. Measure authorizes tax of $194,040 out- <br />side Constitutional 6 percent limitation on ownership of <br />real property in Downtown Development District only and <br />not elsewhere in City for aperating expenses of District <br />July 1, 1954 to June 30, 1985. If Measure is approved, <br />operating budget of District to be financed by taxation <br />on ownership of real property in District for Tax Year <br />1954-55 will be $7,647 less than the aperating budget <br />so financed in preceding year. <br />Section 2. If voters approve this Measure, the Down- <br />town Commission will be able to continue to provide FREE <br />Ordinance - l <br />
