ORDINANCE N0. '1 <br />AN ORD2NANCE CONCERNING STATE TRAFFIC LAWS; <br />RE-ENACTING SECTION 5.005 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />19 71; AND DECLARING Ai~T EMERGENCY . <br />THE CITY GF EUGENE DOES QRDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 5.005 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />re-enacted: <br />5.005 State Traffic Laws. It is the policy of the city to <br />conform its traffic laws as closely as feasible to the <br />traffic laws of the State of Oregon. ORS 275.420, 486.075, <br />486.221, and the provisions of ORS Chapters 481, 482, 483, <br />484, 485 and 48? as now enacted or hereafter amended, are <br />hereby adopted, and violation thereof shall constitute an <br />offense against the city. <br />Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the <br />public welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby <br />declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall became effective immedi- <br />ately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />~~~ day of March, 1984 <br />~.~~.
