~DRD I NANCE NO . ~ q atom"[ AN ORDINANCE ELECTING TO RECEIVE STATE REVENUE SHARING FUNDS PURSUANT TO SECTION Z21.77g OF OREGON REVISED STATUTES;. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: Section 2~1,77~ of Oregon Revised Statutes requires that an election to receive State Revenue Funds must be made by enact- ment of an Ordinance, and it is in the public interest that such an election be made. A Proposed Use Hearing before the Budget Committee was held on April l7, 1984, and a public hearing was held before the City Council on June 25, 1984, at which hearings citizens were provided an opportunity to comment on the use of State Revenue Sharing Funds, Now, therefore, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incor porated herein, the City of Eugene, Oregon elects to receive distribution of funds from State Revenue Sharing pursuant to Section 221.77 of Oregon Revised Statutes for the fiscal year ending ,Tune 3~, 1985. Section 2. The City Manager is requested to file a copy of th i s Ordinance with the Executive Department of the State of Oregon as required by Oregon Revised Statutes, Section 3. Because an election to receive State Revenue Sharing funds for the fiscal year ending June 3~, 1985 is required by law to be made by the enactment of an Ordinance to be filed with the Executive Department of the State of Oregon, it is necessary far the welfare of the citizens of the City of Eugene that the filing be made without delay and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor, Passed by the City Council this 11th day of July, 1984 ~~ ~~~ f~-55~.
