ATTACHMENT G <br /> <br />M I N U T E S <br /> <br /> <br />Eugene City Council <br />Regular Session <br />Council Chamber – City Hall <br />777 Pearl Street—Eugene, Oregon <br /> <br /> March 2, 2009 <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: Andrea Ortiz, Chris Pryor, Betty Taylor, George Poling, Mike Clark, <br />Jennifer Solomon, Alan Zelenka, George Brown. <br /> <br /> <br />A. REGULAR SESSION: <br /> Police Auditor Recruitment Process <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy convened the meeting at 6:41 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy stated that the primary finalist for the position of independent Police Auditor was unable to <br />accept it. She said the council had decided to reopen the search to include a broader pool of applicants. She <br />underscored the council’s appreciation for the services of the interim auditor and that the council planned to <br />continue to rely on the auditor’s services while the council finished the recruitment process. <br /> <br />Councilor Zelenka, seconded by Councilor Clark, moved to reopen the recruitment process <br />and change the minimum qualifications to indicate that a Juris Doctorate degree would be <br />preferred but would not be required.
