The commission values individuals who bring their
issues to the table and at the same time exhibit a willingness to work on a broad range of topics.

The Commission received one application for the opening. We are pleased with the skills and
passion of this individual and we consider ourselves fortunate to have his application. The
applicant is Ken Neubeck of our Education and Outreach Committee.

Ken is actively involved in a variety of committee and commission efforts. Ken has been a
dedicated member of the Education and Outreach Committee and Human Rights Support System
for three years. Ken has also taken the lead on projects creating and defining Eugene as a
Human Rights City. We are confident Ken’s Application for Appointment reflects his
exceptional capacity and sincere commitment to human rights.

Please contact me or other commissioners if you have specific questions. I can be reached by e-
mail at Annette.LEONARD@co.lane.or.us or through the Human Rights Center office at 682-
5177. Thank your continued support for the Human Rights Program.

Sincerely,
Annette Leonard
Human Rights Commission Chair
