On April 23, 2002 City Parks staff met with School District 4J Facilities staff to <br />update them on the pending bid and construction planned for the park site in 2002. <br />Based on the park planning process over the last seven (7) years, the park site <br />development incorporates approximately 1.5 acres of adjacent School District <br />property on the west side of the park into the site development. The School <br />District will need to provide formal authorization for the City to proceed with <br />construction on their portion of the SchoollPark site. School District Facilities <br />Manager, Bill Hirsch, stated the School District would provide the authorization. <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, <br /> <br />THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE ORDERS AND DIRECTS THAT: <br /> <br />In addition to he above findings, which are hereby adopted, I have reviewed the Gilham <br />Park Master Plan, which is attached as "Exhibit A" hereto and incorporated herein by reference, <br />and find that it is consistent with the goals and policies of the Eugene Parks and Recreation Plan <br />and other adopted City policies.
