<br />3. Report Content. <br /> <br />3.1 Introduction. Must include the same information required in a Levell report. <br /> <br />3.2 Prol ect Location and Description. Must include the same information required <br />in a Level 1 report. <br /> <br />3.3 Site Investigation. <br />3.3.1 Development of the investigation. (Include who specified it and why <br />the investigation was done in the manner it was done.) <br />3.3.2 Scope of field work. (Include how many test pits/test borings were <br />made, what type, and where.) <br />3.3.3 Drilling, sampling, and field testing program and methods; <br />ASTM/ AASHTO references. <br />3.3.4 Laboratory testing program (samples tested; procedures used, ASTM <br />references). <br />3.3.5 Discussion ofunusual conditions encountered during field drilling and <br />sampling. <br /> <br />3.4 Analysis of Site Investigation Data. <br />3.4.1 Summary of observed subsurface profile (stratigraphy); discussion of <br />soil and rock layers and deposits encountered in the subsurface investigation; index <br />properties and classifications. <br />3.4.2 Comparison of developed soil profile to geologic setting described in <br />previous section, including a discussion of similarities and differences. <br />3.4.3 Discussion of each of the potential geologic-natural hazards observed <br />at the development site; location, magnitude, time effects, possible effects on the <br />structure or facility. <br />3.4.4 Discussion of laboratory test results, and description of potentially <br />expansive soils, organic deposits, loose sands, and any areas of potential or existing <br />instability. <br />3.4.5 Discussion of anticipated groundwater conditions that may effect the <br />site development and/or project, and discussion of effects of grading on infiltration <br />of water. <br /> <br />3.5 <br />following: <br /> <br />Conclusions. Include the same requirements required in a Level 1 and the <br /> <br />3.5.1 Suggested methods for dealing with the potential geologic-natural <br />hazards; qualitative advice to design engineers or architects. <br />3.5.2 Clear reference to empirical, published or unpublished, minimum <br />design standards or procedures for the design of elements of the structure or facility, <br />which are based solely on the index properties of supporting soil and/or rock units. <br />Recommendations for design and construction shall be based on the Qualified <br />Registered Professional's judgment, combined with experience. <br />3.5.3 Expectations concerning consolidation or settlement. <br />3.5.4 Clear reference of groundwater elevations and its impact on the <br />constructed development and construction activities and necessary mitigation <br />measures. <br /> <br />3.6 Appendices and Graphic Presentations.
