Cl.[;( ;~{o. 5~- ~ -' 0" Administrative Order of the City Manaqer of the City of Euqene, Oreqon The City Manaqer of the City of Euqene finds that: A. Free parking is currently provided for patrons and customers within the Downtown Development District as established in Section 2.154(3) of the Eugene Code, 1971. B. The Downtown Commission has recommended that a time limitation of three hours in any five consecutive five hour period be imposed for free parking within this District. C. The ci ty Council has considered and approved the recommendation of the Downtown Commission. D. Under the provisions of Sections 5.040 and 5.285 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Manager has the authority and responsibilty to carry out the motions and directives of the City Council and to establish or alter parking areas and time limitations therefor. NOW, THEREFORE, The City Manaqer of the City of Euqene orders and directs that: 1. Based upon the above findings, which are adopted herein, unless otherwise provided by sign, meter, or other administrative order, free parking in a city parking facility or along a street within the Downtown Development District as established in Section 2.154(3) of the Eugene Code, 1971, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. shall be limited to three hours in any five consecutive hours. 2. The provisions of this Administrative Order do not affect the prohibition on parking within the Downtown Development District imposed under Section 5.232 of the Eugene Code, 1971. 3. By copy of this Order, the City's Planning and Development Department is directed to place appropriate signs within City parking facilities and along the affected streets advising the public of the parking limitations imposed by this Order and section 5.232 of the Eugene Code, 1971. 4. This Order shall become effective immediately upon the placement of the signs directed to be installed in paragraph 3 above. Dated this l:z1#-day of June, 1989.
