<br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. r)'~ .-q~1 ~ 1 ~ <br />of the <br />City Manager of the City of Eugene <br /> <br />ESTABLISHING SOCIAL GAMBLING FEES <br /> <br />The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br /> <br />A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.020 of the Eugene Code, 1971 which <br />authorizes the City Manager to determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the <br />City for services, goods, use of municipal property, and licenses and permits, I have <br />previously established fees for processing individual certification applications. <br /> <br />B. On July 2, 1993 I notified the Mayor and City Council that I intended to <br />amend portions of the fee schedule as set forth in the Notice of Intended Fees attached as <br />Exhibit A thereto and incorporated therein by reference. The Notice was also posted at two <br />locations at City Hall on June 29, 1993, and made available for inspection by interested <br />persons at the offices of the City's Planning & Development Department, Building & Permit <br />Services Division, 244 East Broadway, Eugene, Oregon 97401. The Notice provided that <br />written comments would be received thereon for a period of 15 days from the date of <br />posting. No written comments were received within the time or in the manner required by <br />the Notice. <br /> <br />C. I find that the fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto are consistent with applicable <br />policies and directives of the City Council, including policies developed through the Eugene <br />Decisions process, are comparable to the fees established in other jurisdictions for processing <br />such applications, and are necessary in order to recover the costs of administering the social <br />gambling program from the beneficiaries thereof. <br /> <br />D. Establishment of the fees as proposed is in the public interest, and it is <br />necessary for the FY94 budget that the fees be implemented as soon as possible. <br /> <br />On the basis of these findings, I order that: <br /> <br />1. The fees as set forth in Exlubit A hereto are hereby established as the fees to <br />be charged for processing social gambling dealer/owner applications and certifications as set <br />forth therein. <br /> <br />2. Any prior orders in conflict herewith are repealed as of the effective date of <br />this order. <br /> <br />Dated and etTective this 28 day of July, 1993. <br /> <br /> <br />}" <br /> <br />.
