ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 56-92-06
of the
City Manager of the City or Eugene

ESTABUSIDNG FEES FOR
POUCE AND FIRE UFE SAFElY AND PROTECTION SERVICES

The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows:

A. Section 2.020 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorizes the City Manager to
determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services, goods, use of
municipal property, and licenses and permits.

B. In accordance with the procedures set forth therein, on June 12, 1992 I
notified the Mayor and City Council that I intended to increase the established fees for
providing police and fire life safety and protection services to other public and private
entities; increase the fee charged for providing police and fire report research and/or
photocopied or microfilmed copies to the public; and establish a fee for fax services. The
Notice was also posted at two locations at City Hall on June 12, 1992, and made available
for inspection by interested persons at the office of the City Manager, City Hall, 777 Pearl
Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, and provided that written comments would be received
thereon for a period of 15 days from the date the notice was posted.

C. No written comments were received within the time or in the manner
required by the notice.

D. I find that the proposed fees set forth in the Notice are consistent with
applicable policies and directives of the City Council; are comparable to the fees
established in other jurisdictions for similar public safety services; and are necessary in
order to defray the City's personnel costs associated with providing these police and fire
life safety and protection services which have increased since the current fees were
established.

E. Establishment of the proposed fees is in the public interest, and it is essential
for the FY93 City Budget that these rates be implemented without delay in order to
continue to provide the services.

On the basis of these findings, I order that:

1. The following fees are hereby established for providing the indicated police
and fire life safety and protection services to other public and private entities:

Administrative Order - 1
