ORDINANCE NO. ~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING TRAFFIC CONTRaL; .AMENDING <br />SECTLaNS 5.010, 5.225, AND 5.270 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971; . <br />TI3E CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 5.010 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by adding in alphabetical ordex therein the fallowing: <br />5.010 Definitions. <br />Exit. A continuous and unobstructed means of <br />egress to a public way, .including, but not limited <br />to, intervening doors, doorways, corridors, exterior <br />balconys, ramps, stairways, smoke--proof enclosures, <br />horizontal exits, exit passageways, exit courts and <br />yards. <br />Public way. Any parcel of land unobstructed <br />from the ground to the sky, mare than ten feet in <br />width, which is appropriated to free passage of the <br />general public. <br />Section 2. Subsection ~.1~ of Section 5.225 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, is hereby amended by adding a new subsection ~.j} thereto, to <br />read and provide: <br />5.225 Prohibited Parking and Standing; Exceptions. <br />(1) <br />~.j 7. A vehicle in the public way in front of or <br />blocking an exit from a building, provided the exit <br />is conspicuously marked and parking in front of or <br />blocking the exit is prohibited. <br />Section 3. Section 5.270 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by adding new subsections ~3~ and ~4} thereto, to read and <br />provide: <br />5.270 Use of ~,,,l,ty,,,,Pro~erty. <br />~.3} The authorization grated under this section shall <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
