1~8a9 <br />Section 3. Subsection (4~ of ~ecti~on ~.9~7 of the Eugene Code, <br />19?l, is hereby amended to read and provide: <br />2.94? Multi le-Unit Rental. Housing - Termination of Ap roval, <br />Review. <br />~4~ Upon receipt of a request From the property owner, <br />the council may, by resolution, extend the deadline for comple- <br />tion of construction of multiple-unit rental housing for a <br />period not to exceed 12 consecuti~re months, i~.e., January 1, <br />198G, if it finds the failure to complete construction by ~'anu- <br />ary 1, 1985 was due to circumstances beyond the control of the <br />owner, and that the owner had been and could reasonably be ex- <br />pected to act in good faith and with due diligence. <br />Section 4. The provisions contained herein concern the public <br />welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and <br />this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />by the City Council and apprawal by the Mayor, <br />7th day of May <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />27th day of May, 1981 <br />c <br />Council President, Acting Mayor <br />ordinance ~ 2. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />
