ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING PROHIBITED SIGNS; AMEND- <br />ING SECTION 8.690 QF THE EUGENE CQDE, 1971; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section ,8.690 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by adding a new subsection fie} thereto; relettering the pre- <br />sent subsections fie} , ~.f } , ~_g} and ~h~ to ~_f ~ , fig} , ~h} and ~i} res- <br />pectively; amending and relettexing the present subsect~,on ~i} to <br />~j}; and adding a new subsection ~k} thereto, to read and provide: <br />8.690 Prohibited Signs. No sign shall be constructed, erected <br />or maintained. <br />Vie} Which advertises or publicizes an activity, <br />business, product or service not conducted by the owner <br />or lessee of a motor vehicle or recreational vehicle <br />upon which such signs are maintained. <br />~j} which is written upon, te~porarily or perman-~ <br />ently placed upon or attached to a motor vehicle, mobile <br />home or recreational vehicle which advertises the price <br />of any product or service, indicates hours of business <br />or service,. or indicates that a business is open or closed. <br />~:~} As used %n this section, the term motor vehi- <br />cle is defined as provided in section 5.010 of this code, <br />and the term mobile home and recreational vehicle are <br />defined as provided in section 9.254 of this code. <br />Section 2.
