. Y ~ <br />AZ ~81-2 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND- ~ - <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE,~OREGON <br />- .. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: ~- <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections S.S13, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the~City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the .limitations contained therein, to_change <br />.the zoning classification of property wit~tin the City of Eugene; - <br />Based upon the_ report of -the Planning Commi scion, the materials- tra~s- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance _ <br />with the General Plan; there i~ a publ is need for the change in zone; and the <br />pubs i c need can best be served by Changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, - <br />- ~ Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as- its own the _ <br />specific affirmative ,findings contained in the Planning Department staff ,notes <br />of May 5, 1981, and Planning Commission minutes of May 5, 1981, for the reasons <br />set forth therein, and - ~- <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES_ ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ... _ _ _ <br />- Section 1. As provided by Sections 8..625 and 9.278 of the Eugene~~Code, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and _the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lots 600 and 604-wAssessor's Map 15-03-18 as more particularly .. _ <br />described on the attached Exhibit "A" 1 ac at~d south of Oath Avenue - <br />west of Brae Burn Drive <br />Change of zone from County RR Rural Residential District to City R-~11PD- <br />Low-Density Residential District with pl an~ned unit deve l apment procedures <br />and application of City residential sign district - - <br />Section 2. The zoning designations provided for herein shall <br />become effective upon entry of a ~Fi nal Order of the Lane County Boundary <br />Commission annexing territory described ~n Exhibit "A" attached hereto. _ <br />Section 3. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directedY _ <br />- . to cause a zoning rnap, the sign district map, the schedule ~f sign district - <br />classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedule --- <br />- of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Cody, 1971, to show the <br />aRDINANCE-Page 1 of 2 - <br />
