. Y ~ AZ ~81-2 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND- ~ - AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE,~OREGON - .. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: ~- Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections S.S13, 9.278, and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the~City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the .limitations contained therein, to_change .the zoning classification of property wit~tin the City of Eugene; - Based upon the_ report of -the Planning Commi scion, the materials- tra~s- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance _ with the General Plan; there i~ a publ is need for the change in zone; and the pubs i c need can best be served by Changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, - - ~ Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as- its own the _ specific affirmative ,findings contained in the Planning Department staff ,notes of May 5, 1981, and Planning Commission minutes of May 5, 1981, for the reasons set forth therein, and - ~- THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES_ ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ... _ _ _ - Section 1. As provided by Sections 8..625 and 9.278 of the Eugene~~Code, 1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and _the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: Tax Lots 600 and 604-wAssessor's Map 15-03-18 as more particularly .. _ described on the attached Exhibit "A" 1 ac at~d south of Oath Avenue - west of Brae Burn Drive Change of zone from County RR Rural Residential District to City R-~11PD- Low-Density Residential District with pl an~ned unit deve l apment procedures and application of City residential sign district - - Section 2. The zoning designations provided for herein shall become effective upon entry of a ~Fi nal Order of the Lane County Boundary Commission annexing territory described ~n Exhibit "A" attached hereto. _ Section 3.
