The appropriations for art works is dedicated from capital construction funds. however, funds may ~e generated from other sources, and in such event, these guidelines control the expenditure of such funds . 2. In the event .match.ing funds are sought, the Selection Com- mittee shall consult with the granting agency as soon as it is appointed and the City Manager has decided the locations and type of art work for a particular project. The Selection Committee shall determine if any requirement ix~posed by a granting agency is in the best interests of the City of Eugene. Tf such requirement is not in the best interests of the City, the application. shall be abandoned. 3. Knowledge of the matcha,ng grant process, including time- tables, dollar mounts and selection criteria, shall be made public and stated clear~,y in the prospectus. 4. The Selection Con~nittee ,may choose to employ a two-step selection process in the event that matching funds are sought.
