IBb~f9 <br />ART~CL-E 2~ <br />C"nn i- ra ~+~ c <br />Upon designation of an Artist, ar artwork, the Artist shall <br />enter into a written contract authorised by the City Manager. The <br />contract shall include provisions for. <br />~,a~_ A final design and cost breakdown for the work of <br />art, subject to the approval of the Selection Committee; <br />~b~. A close working relationship with the Project Archi- <br />tect, if the piece is integrated; <br />Vic} The delivery and super~rision of the installation of <br />the work and its presentation to the agency; <br />~:d~ Specific means of payment and time for completion; <br />and <br />~:e~_ Stipulations regarding copyright and resale clauses. <br />ARTT'C'T,~' X <br />Match,in~ Grants, <br />1. The appropriations for art works is dedicated from capital <br />construction funds. however, funds may ~e generated from other <br />sources, and in such event, these guidelines control the expenditure <br />of such funds . <br />2. In the event .match.ing funds are sought, the Selection Com- <br />mittee shall consult with the granting agency as soon as it is <br />appointed and the City Manager has decided the locations and type of <br />art work for a particular project. The Selection Committee shall <br />determine if any requirement ix~posed by a granting agency is in the <br />best interests of the City of Eugene. Tf such requirement is not in <br />the best interests of the City, the application. shall be abandoned. <br />3. Knowledge of the matcha,ng grant process, including time- <br />tables, dollar mounts and selection criteria, shall be made public <br />and stated clear~,y in the prospectus. <br />4. The Selection Con~nittee ,may choose to employ a two-step <br />selection process in the event that matching funds are sought. It <br />may choose to use: an open se~.ection initially, followed by a limited <br />selection process from applicants in the open selection process, once <br />.~ g_ .. <br />
