/88H~9 <br />City of Eugene <br />Arts Fund Selection Committee <br />Rules of Procedure and Internal Crganizatian <br />AR~'TC"~,F T <br />Arts Fund Selection Committee ~ Creation <br />The Arts Fund Selection~Committee~.s~ has been established pur- <br />suant to Section 2.646 of the Eugene Code, 1971, with its membershi <br />p <br />to be appointed and serve as is necessary in connection with the i <br />selection and placement of works of art in public places through the <br />expenditure of funds deposited in the Municipal Arts Fund established <br />by Section 2,644 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and such further funds as <br />may be identified for these purposes. <br />ART I.CLE I:I <br />n,~~; ~~ <br />The Arts Fund Selection Committee shall be governed by Sections <br />2,638 to 2.645 of the Eugene Cade, 1,9 a1, and the procedures described <br />herein in the selection and placement of works of art in public <br />places, The Committee sha11. <br />~a} Through its selection of art, foster the growth <br />of historically significant art from which the public can <br />benefit, and <br />~b~. Assure that funds are spent on arts and crafts <br />of the highest quality and that the art work enhances the <br />designated areas, <br />ARTLCLE IIT <br />Definitions <br />In addition to the definitions contained i~n Section 2.638 of <br />the Eugene Code, 1971, the fallowing def initivns shall apply to <br />the administration of these specific guidelines: <br />Architect. The person or firm designing the project <br />to which Sections 2.635 to 2.645 of the Eugene Code, 19?1 <br />applies, also referred to as the "Project Architect", <br />Coris~truction Coordinator.
