Z 81-6 <br />ORDINANCE N0. s <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the Gity Council has the au~tho rity <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zonir~ classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Pl anni nq Cammi ssi on, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Panning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change in zane; <br />and the public need. can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of July 7, 1981, and the Planning Commission minutes of July 7, 1981, for the <br />reasons set forth therein , and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section~9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance ~sched u 1~e of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the following change of zone: . <br />Tax Lot 4700--Assessor's Map 18-03-06-1 1, as more particularly described <br />on the attached Exhibit "A", located on the west side of Oak Street, <br />between East 19th Avenue and 20th Avenue. <br />Change of zone from R-1 Low-Density Residential District to R-2 Limited <br />Multi ple-Fami 1y Residenti a1 District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be and i s hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1911, to show the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE-Page 1 of 2 <br />
