z 81-7 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of oRS 227.215 and Sections 9.218 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the. change in zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFQRE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of July 7, 1981, and the Planning Commission minutes of July 7, 1981, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Secti an 1. Z1S of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance sched u fie of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the following change of zone: <br />Tax Lot 2700--Assessor's Map 17-Q4-36-2 1, as more particularly described <br />on the attached Exhibit "A", located between 6th and 7th avenues, east of <br />Garfield Street. <br />Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to C-2/5R Community <br />Commercial District with Site Review Procedures, said site review pro- <br />cedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit "B", attached. <br />Section 2 . The P 1 ann i ng Director be and i s hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause t e zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1911, to show the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
