AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING~LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9,275 and 9.668 through 9,654 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- .r formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the. public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, .the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific. affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of October 6, 1981 and the Planning Commission minutes of October 6, 1951, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the.Eugene Code, 1911, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone: Portions of Tax Lot 1401--Assessor's Map 17-04-22-4 1 and a portion of Tax Lot 3900--Assessor's Map 17-04-22-4 4, as more particularly~5~descr~ibed an the attached Exhibit A, located on the west side of Jacobs Street, east of Fairfield Street. Change of zone from R-A Suburban Residential District and R-1 Low-Density Residential District to RP Residential Professional District. Section 2.
