r .~ <br />r r{ <br />r .~ <br />z81-8 <br />~~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING~LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9,275 and 9.668 <br />through 9,654 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- .r <br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; <br />and the. public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, .the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific. affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of October 6, 1981 and the Planning Commission minutes of October 6, 1951, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the.Eugene Code, 1911, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone: <br />Portions of Tax Lot 1401--Assessor's Map 17-04-22-4 1 and a portion of <br />Tax Lot 3900--Assessor's Map 17-04-22-4 4, as more particularly~5~descr~ibed <br />an the attached Exhibit A, located on the west side of Jacobs Street, east <br />of Fairfield Street. <br />Change of zone from R-A Suburban Residential District and R-1 Low-Density <br />Residential District to RP Residential Professional District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to Shaw the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
