x z s1-11 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~{~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.513, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through~9.fi 84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change the <br />zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, <br />matted therewith, and the evidence presented before the <br />this City Council, the request for~zone change and sign <br />classification is in conformance with the General Plan; <br />for the change in zone; and the public need can best be <br />c1 assif ication of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />the materi a1 s trans- <br />P1 anni ng Commission and <br />district change of <br />there is a public need <br />served by changing the <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own <br />the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff <br />notes of October 6, 1981, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 6, <br />1951, for the reasons set forth therei n,~ and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Sections 9.275 and 8.525 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lot 1415--Assessor's Map 17-04-27-2 4, as more particularly described <br />on the attached Exhibit "A", located south of Roosevelt Boulevard and west <br />of Chase Street. <br />Change of zone. from R-A Suburban Residential District to M-2 Light Indus- <br />tri al District and a change of sign district from Resi denti a <br />1 to Industrial. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause t e zoning map, the sign district map, the schedule of sign district <br />classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the <br />foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with <br />respect to bui 1 di ng i n the appropriate c1 assif ication. <br />
