(H si-2) ORDINANCE N0. ~_ AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE SCHAEFERS BUILDING A HISTORIC LANDMARK WITHIN THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: - Pursuant to Sections 2.402, 2.401, and 2.405 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to designate certain buildings, structures, other physical objects, including their sites, and geographic areas within the City as Historic Landmarks. .Based upon the report received from the Historic Review Board, the materials that have been transmitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Historic Review Board and this Council, the application for designa- tion as an Historic Landmark is consistent with applicable statewide and locally-adopted plans, and the Schaefers Building, including its site, for which H~stor~c Landmark designation has been requested meets one or more of the criteria required for Historic Landmark designation. NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Historic Review Board staff notes and minutes of November 19, 1951, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; Section 1. Under authority of Sections 2.407 and 2.408 of the Eugene Code, , the Schaefers Building, which is located on the following described real property, is hereby designated as an Historic Landmark. Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 2, Block 11, Mulligans Donation to Eugene, as platted and recorded in volume A, Page 122, Deed Records of Lane County, Oregon; running thence South along the West line of Block 17 a d i stance of 80.32 feet to the center 1 i ne of a wa1 l ; thence East al ang the centerline of said wall to the West line of an alley running through said Block 17; thence North 50.32 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 2; thence West to the place of beginning, in Lane County, Oregon. Section 2. The Schaefers Building shall be controlled by the restrictions set forth in Exhibit "A" and by Sections 2.409 through 2.411 of the Eugene Code, 1971, ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
